How is this different from renting?
With Open Sky Homes, you move into a home with a structured plan to purchase it in 2–3 years. A portion of your monthly payments may go toward your future purchase, and you lock in your opportunity to buy.
The goal isn’t to rent forever — it’s to own.
Do I need perfect credit?
No. We work with families who may not qualify at the bank today. What matters most is stable income, commitment, and a clear plan to improve your credit over time.
You don’t need perfect credit — but you do need to be serious about ownership.
How much deposit is required?
Most homes require a deposit between $15,000–$25,000, depending on the property.
This deposit secures your home and goes toward your future purchase.
If you don’t have savings yet, we recommend building toward that goal before applying.
What happens after 3–5 years?
During the program, you’ll work toward qualifying for a mortgage. When the term ends, you secure traditional financing and officially purchase the home.
We structure the agreement clearly from the beginning so there are no surprises.
What if something changes in my life?
